Military Service

In addition to my studies, I am a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. Most of my military service has been spent as a Civil Affairs Team Chief, where my job was to support and enable governance in fragile and conflict-affected settings to ensure the continuity of essential services and alleviate suffering.

In this role, I was deployed in support of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) throughout 2022. Most of my time during this deployment was spent acting as the U.S. Embassy’s liaison to the Ministry of Health in Djibouti. I also spent time in Monrovia assisting the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) in integrating civil society partners into their disaster planning and in Samoa leading global health engagements.

I have been an instructor at the Multinational Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Group in Motta Di Livenza, Italy.

I am currently the Commerce and Trade Officer at the 353rd Civil Affairs Command.
